Rewiring Brutalism, the Foyer Gallery, the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL
This exhibition brought together work shown at the Barbican Centre for Rewiring Brutalism (2019) with work from La Revue Générale Brutaliste shown at the Institut Français, South Kensington (2018). For this brief intervention into the Bartlett’s front Foyer Gallery space, we used existing display systems to reconfigure our imagery and notational texts on Parisian brutalism at different scales and through different forms of print and screen-based presentation. The exhibition’s focus on experimental tactics of architectural photography diverged from the gallery’s usual use as a space for the presentation of architectural project imagery and models. The exhibition also formed a back drop to the second performance of the Langham Research Centre’s composition ‘Return to Spatial Futures Through Musique Concrète’.
