Listening to Place, Barbican, Feb 2022

In February 2022 we extended our collaboration with sound artists Langham Research Centre for their contribution to the Barbican event Listening to Place, an international concert of experimental, site-based sound art, organised by the record label Non-Classical. A sequence of texts and stereo photography of brutalist architecture in Paris and London was projected on the twin screens of the main Barbican auditorium for the piece ‘Return to Spatial Futures’. Non-classical also used Photolanguage images of Ivry-sur-Seine and Créteil as lead images for the event, and which appeared throughout the Barbican foyer.
